The Beginner program starts in November and consists of 10 weeks of hockey school, 10 regular season stop-time games, including playoffs and a professional uniform.

THE TRUE NORTH HOCKEY PHILOSOPHY

True North is THE Co-Ed adult non-contact hockey league dedicated to providing safe, highly organised hockey for adults from beginner to advanced. True North ensures parity by grouping teams into distinct tiers that allow teams and individuals to play at similar skill levels. This tier system is unique in the Adult Hockey market and keeps the play competative, not frustrating. When the game is less frustrating, it's a lot more fun!

If you've already played in an "industrial" league, you already know what animosity can occur when unevenly matched teams go head to head. Hockey is a fun, healthy way of dealing with life's stress. True North is dedicated to being an outlet for stress, not the cause of it!

SAFETY AND SPORTSMANSHIP

True North is dedicated to safety. This means strictly enforced non-contact hockey. Any infractions, such as intentional high-sticking, fighting, abuse of officials or other players is not tolerated. Failure to comply with league rules can result in suspensions and even expulsion from the league. If you are looking for fun, friends and exercise, this is the league for you.

RELIGIOUS HOLIDAY PRACTICE

True North Hockey Canada does not schedule games on statutory holidays as recognized by the Government of Canada or the Province of Ontario (with the exception of Family Day). Games that fall on religious holidays that occur on dates other than recognized statutory holidays will not be re-scheduled by True North Hockey Canada. It is up to the individuals that are affected by this policy to choose between playing hockey or observing their religious practices. True North Hockey Canada can not and will not reschedule games for teams or individuals wishing to observe their religious holidays.
